THS Drill Teams competed this weekend at the American Legion Post 41 John S McCain Leadership competition, scored a first place overall for armed and unarmed drill, and brought home a check for $1,000!  Way to go CHIEFS!

A big shout out to the exceptional team commanders for their hard work and amazing leadership:  Unarmed Drill Team Commander Cadet Mackenzie Bateman and Armed Drill Team Commander Cadet Jorge Ortiz.

On October 25th the Sensory Integration Program (SIP) students were accompanied by THS Key Club for "Kids Day at the State Fair".  An annual event that Phoenix Kiwanis has sponsored since 1973, to provide a special day for kids with special needs.  Key Club students escorted SIP students on and off of rides, guided them through exhibits, and helped to serve our students with the provided lunch. The Key Club students are delighted to help our special needs students; who normally would not be able to enjoy the fair experience, due to their sensitivity to flashing lights and extreme noise. This is the 5th year THS Key Club has participated in Kids Day and it has become one of the highlights of our Key Club experience.
